​SHIKARI MATA and KAMRUNAG Trek

SHIKARI MATA and KAMRUNAG are situated in the district MANDI near Kullu. Our both destination is top of mountain and holy places in the MANDI.

SHIKARI MATA – At the height of 9377 feet. Dedicated to the Goddess SHIKARI, is believed to bless her devotees get their dreamy hunts. Worshiping to this Goddess Mata, devotees consider themselves armed of dexterous aptitudes. The interesting thing about this temple is that it’s roofless after many attempts by the people to cover the temple but they came failed. Reciting to the time of Pandavas. This Shikhari Devi temple is attributed to have been one of the most ancient temples in Mandi.

KAMRUNAG – At the height of 10940 feet. It is popularly called as Dev Kamru, is an important God of ‘SHIVRATRI’ fair. The place of Kamrunag is well-known for two reasons. Firstly it is lake of the place where it’s says that tons of Gold and Silver are laying as ornaments which buried in the water of lake for centuries together. Similarly the Gold and Silver coins too have been offered and these are laying safely in it. he is also known as a rain devta (GOD ).

Best time to go: Jan & Feb

DAY 1: Participants report at DADOUR. On N.H. 21 Sunder Nagar to Mandi highway near Kullu. We will pick up you from DADOUR, then on the way to our BASECAMP (JARIAD) approx 6775 feet. All participants fresh n up and having breakfast at JACCH and proceed to BASE CAMP at JARIAD Trek 3 km. After lunch at Jariad we will provide information about place & Trekking route and instruction. An Evening we will arrange a small acclimatization trail in Himachal Pradesh. In base camp which tender the silence of wildness and capture the beauty which will give you interesting feeling.

O/N STAY & DINNER at BASECAMP (JARIAD).

DAY 2: JARIAD (BASECAMP) to KAMRUNAG (approx 10940 feet) 10 km-5 hours.

Fresh n up & after breakfast we proceed for KAMRUNAG TREK. Kamrunag temple situated on top of the Mountain. As the trekking start after certain time we will get the upward trek through on hilly region and also we can see some interesting signs with symbol of the Mahabharata and Ramayana. That will give you excitement to trek also even you forget of about long destination. As we reach at ‘KAMRUNAG’ we will see Temple with surrounded by forests with view of larger field also big lake is amazing and peaceful.

DAY 3: KAMRUNAG to BASE-CAMP (JARIAD) 

Fresh n up & after breakfast we return to our base-camp at JARIAD with Kamrunag’s amazing experience, Lunch at base-camp.

DAY 4: BASE-CAMP to DEVIDARH (7943 feet) approx 10km- 4hours. 

Fresh n up & after breakfast the trek starts towards Devidarh is quite easy on the way will be passing from small villages, Farming fields, Natural Water multiple streams coming on the way. In few hours will enter dense forest which lies on the way to Devidarh. As we enter in Devidarh will get to see Mata GUDASNI Temple in centre which having big lawn at front side and amazing deodar forest from all surrounding region.

O/N STAY & DINNER at DEVIDARH.

DAY 5: DEVIDARH to SHIKARI MATA (9351 feet) approx 6km- 4hours.

From Devidarh to Shikari Mata Temple trek will be totally different. Last day trek was easy but this trek is compare quit difficult. Trek will starts with steep climbing which is an adventure and interesting too. On the way there will be local flora & fauna, bird’s sightings and many more things. As we trek upwards the roofless Shikari Mata Temple will be visible which is situated on the top of mountain. As we reach at Shikari Mata Temple will have an experience of attractive surrounded mesmerizing view of scenery. Spend here your quality time with excited cool and glad climate.

DAY 6: Fresh n up & after breakfast we will proceed to our base camp and after lunch participants proceed Mandi bus stand for the bus by Delhi / Chandigarh with sweet memories.

– Qualified & experienced trek Leader, Guide and Support staff.

– Transport from Dadour to Camp and return to Mandi.

EXCLUSIONS:-
– Any kind of personal expenses,

– Insurance,

– Mules or porter to carry personal luggage,

– Anything not specifically mentioned under the head “Price Includes”.

Cancellation:

If a trek is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/un forseen circumstances (like rains, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh etc), Phoenix Expeditions will issue a trek voucher for the full amount. The voucher can be redeemed for the same trek or another trek in the next one year.

The cancellation charges are as under:

  • Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the trek — full refund.
  • Cancellation between 30 days and 20 days to the start of the trek — 50% refund.
  • Cancellation less than 20 days to the start of the trek — no refund.

NOTE:- 

– Normally participant expect to carry your personal luggage on your own, if you don’t want to carry your backpack so you can give it to porter, But you have to inform us in advance and have to pay Rs. 600/- extra per day per bag.

– Cost exclude due to extension/ change of the itinerary because of natural Calamities, road blocks, vehicle breakdown etc. factors beyond the control of “PHOENIX EXPEDITIONS”.
